On the 17th of April 2014, the 8th NETCET meeting and workshop with fishermen’s on biology and conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles, their distribution in Adriatic and procedures of handling, incidentally caught turtles in order to reduce their mortality was successfully held in Zadar, Croatia.

On the 16th of April 2014, the 7th NETCET meeting and workshop with fishermen’s on biology and conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles, their distribution in Adriatic and procedures of handling, incidentally caught turtles in order to reduce their mortality was successfully held in  Senj, Croatia.

It will be held in Pescara a Sea Turtle Release Event, organized by the City of Pescara within the NETCET Project (Network for the Conservation of Cetaceans and Sea Turtles in the Adriatic),IPA Adriatic CBC Programme, aimed at developing common strategies for the conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles in the Adriatic through regional cooperation.

Antonio Mingozzi (Università della Calabria), referente del gruppo di lavoro Tartarughe marine (Commissione Tartarughe e Testuggini), organizza in collaborazione con l'associazione TartaCare Calabria una giornata di formazione sui "Metodi di intervento su siti di nidificazione di Tartaruga marina Caretta caretta". Il corso si terrà il prossimo 10 maggio ad Amantea (CS).
