NETCET course on handling, recovering, releasing caught/stranded ST - Tirana (AL)

On the 21st of November 2013, the NETCET Course on handling, recovering, releasing and recording accidentally caught/stranded sea turtles was successfully held in Tirana (Albania).

The course, organized and hosted by the Herpetofauna Albanian Society (HAS) was held in Tirana. Participants were representatives of University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences:  students of  Bachelor in Biology, Master and PhD students of Environmental Biology;  representatives from NGOs relating with nature conseration;  students and professors of  Vitrina University.

The lecturers presented the biology and threats of Sea Turtles in the Adriatic Sea with practical lecture on handling techniques for stranded or injured Sea Turtles.

HAS distributed leaflets and bags of the project and certificates for all the students participating in this workshop.
